Bandar-log demand apology as a result of North Korea's recent comparison of monkeys to U.S. president Barock Obama. "We demand an immediate apology for calling us the O-word," said Chimp Li, King of the monkey people. 'We have evolved but Obama is still a chump,' said an outraged chimp. "We are sick of Obama's simple monkey business being likened to our former way." "We outgrew that stuff at least a week ago," said Chimp Li. "Next thing you know, they will be dressing Obama up in a 6XL space suit and flying him around in our old space capsule, taking even more established jobs away from U.S. citizens." "We demand our rights, especially in light of our amazing success at designing the Affordable Health Care web site," and we all know what a great job we did on that, said the multi-billionaire Li. When asked what he will do next, Chimp Li replied, "I am thinking of running for democrat president. I could do no worse than the current ape ., referring of course to the fact that he is a higher IQ chimpanzee.
North Korean Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, apologized for the slight and said he meant no disrespect to the Bandar-log and meant to call Obama a "fat pig." Pres. Obama was vacationing in Hawaii and could not be reached for comment.
Signed, The Pooka
And?
I doubt he cares.
If a leader of a country, and that's any country, can't take others being stupid, he needs to give up his job.
So what. The monkey's got the guns. hahaha
Might makes right, so I guess that makes us the chumps.
I don't think it's ever okay for leaders of countries to call the leader of another country names. You might not like them, but leaders of countries should know how to deal with other leaders without resorting to name calling. ARE they still in junior high? Grow up and act like adults. This is world politics, not the playground.
Sure, but who looked bad?
Obama was correct to ignore his childish behavior.
I agree that as leaders they should be above name calling. I do not agree that Obama was right. Obama had North Korea's communications disrupted because Obama decided without proof that Korea somehow disrupted Sony's release of a film which makes fun of Korea's Supreme Ruler. Rightfully so, North Korea is demanding proof and Obama is hiding out as usual. Likely on a golf course in Hawaii at tax-payer expense as he has historically done when things heat up over anything possibly damaging to his fragile self-esteem. He is not ignoring childish behavior, he is hiding out, the penultimate childish behavior (after doing something wrong).
In other words he's ignoring childish behavior. Yawn.
Hiding out? Do you know it's impossible for Obama to hide anyplace?
I guess I shouldn't say impossible, but it's not practical?
Not only that, what the hell is he supposed to say to a comment like that? Oh, yeah? Well, your mother wears combat boots? Seriously?
I actually think name calling is a lot nicer than much of what we do around the
world. We're basically the king country of might makes right. Go along with our
program, or we'll come along with the troops.
If our economic pitmen can't get the job done, of course. Have a disagreement
with the american way, ally or not, and we'll put the NSA to work. Morality?
Integrity? All that is secondary to the pursuit of money.
On a more on topic note. I seriously doubt this hack wasn't an inside job.
Passwords, file paths, server info was all hard coded in to the malware. This
stuff about the interview never even came up until people in the media pointed
out that sony was going to screen a controversial movie... They first just wanted
a cash payout to prevent them from leaking all the info. But, everyone's
forgotten that fact.
Seriously guys, consider that Sony has been hacked over 63 times in the last 10
years, and also consider that Sony pictures fired most of their IT workers, who
would know all the passwords, and file paths, and yet they didn't bother to take
security seriously.
though, at the end of the day, a narrative about another country attempting to
prevent a satirical movie from being shown is much more interesting media
propaganda.
though, in the 70s, Muslims freaked out about a movie that depicted the
prophet and that movie was shit canned. So this practice isn't new. Its not like
sony or its partners turned over a new leaf.
another aspect of this comes to mind. North Korea doesn't even have enough
money to feed all of its people, give all of them basic infrastructure like power,
clean water, and medical care... Essential medicine is just one of the many
things people smuggle in to the country, along with electronics, whiskey,
tobacco, and the like.
think about it. this is a country where the most wealthy of the wealthy drop
serious cash for a macbook. No way could they afford to create a formidable
hacking group. they're not capable of any of the other threats they make. No
nuclear weapons, missiles that can barely reach hawaii, and on, and on... They
just don't pose a top tear serious threat.
North Korea has used the malware that was modified for this attack, true... But,
so have other countries, groups, and people. Malware is just like any product
sold on the open market. It can have many buyers, and people can take it
home to modify it for all kinds of reasons.
I think it's fucking hilarious! The guy is a complete ding bat.
When has practicability been a consideration where Obama was concerned? Probably pretty easy for him to hide out considering he can snap his fingers and have Air Force 1 or Marine 1 at his disposal - good for hiding out. Although, where to hide? Let's think about this. . .Cuba, Haiti, Europe, South America, Mexico, England, Africa to name a few possibilities. What is a few millions here or there when you are spending tax payer money?
To the point, what would be wrong with Obama admitting that he 'monkeyed with' by stopping Korea's internet? What could North Korea do when you are the 500 pound gorilla in the room. Maybe the Korean ruler would call him a big ape and feed him a bananna.
The Pooka
You bring up an excellent point about the money aspect. What better advertising could there be for Sony's movie if they could claim an entire country tried to stop the release by sabotaging their web site? Throw in the allegation that that foreign country called our president a jungle monkey and the resulting controversy and suddenly we are interested in watching the movie where before we did not care at all. Excellent public relations for the movie biz. It's all about the money after all.
The Pooka
Yeah. Lets make the money.
Sony needs to hire me as it's I T guy. The one they got is bad.
Of course, if they wanted it leaked.... Lol
I didn't even bother to watch the interview.
